Day in Montenegro

For the curious travellers Montenegro has a lot to offer when it comes to history and culture. Visit with us historical town Kotor.

Although Montenegro is a small country it needs to be experienced. The largest Adriatic bay between Montenegro and Croatia is Bay of Kotor. Along this 20 km long bay lays historical city Kotor.

In small town Perast you will have a view on the islands Our Lady of the Rock and St. George. Sailors and fisherman built the island Our Lady of the Rock artificially by old ships and stones around a small crag. On the island is a 15 century church that is named after the island.

One of the main reasons why the UNESCO put the city of Kotor under its protection from 1979 are 4,5 km long walls and fortification system. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments in Kotor have many stories to tell. Walking through Kotor you will discover cultural richness.
